August 25th marked Avery's 9 month birthday. She had her appointment two days later and is strong and healthy! At each of her appointments the doctor looks at Avery's history and we're all reminded of her difficult start. It brings things into perspective for Mitch and I in these moments. Sometimes we'll complain about little things that frustrate us. But when we remember her birth we also remember how blessed we are to not only have her in our lives but also to have her so strong and healthy.
Weight: 18 lbs. 7 oz. (55%)
Height: 28.75 inches (88%)
HC: 17.75 (82%)
Teeth: 2
At 9 months old Avery can ...
... pull herself to standing at nearly everything, including Mom's legs as she cooks dinner.
... cruise along the couch, boxes, and other items she stands at.
... feed herself finger foods and is starting to eat more table foods but still loves her purees.
... almost clap and practices all the time.
... talk, talk, talk! And she loves to feel her teeth with her tongue resulting in her sticking out her tongue all the time.
... sleep through the night! Finally! It happened almost three weeks ago and we are thrilled!
... eat puffs all day long (if I let her). There is no concept of one at a time when offered more than one.
... give high fives! Or technically low fives, but she certainly enjoys it!
... shake her head. Lately she's been shaking her head back and forth a lot! Not necessarily saying 'no' but that's the motion. She looks pretty silly!
We love our energetic, social, silly girl so much!! We often look at her on the monitor just to see what position she's sleeping in, she's so cute!
