For the first day of Mitch's long 4th of July break, we went to Gettysburg. It was such an appropriate place to visit since it happened the same time of year. We enjoyed the museum and video. Avery was really interested in the cannons and gun shot sounds during the video. Then she started clapping during the battle. Mitch and I still don't understand where that came from! The best part was the cyclorama painting of the battle. It was the same painting from 130 years ago when it was first displayed in Boston. It's been restored but it was extremely impressive. Avery even fell asleep on the way home which is a miracle!
