Idaho/Washington/Oregon

We had to wait until the very end of the Summer for our big vacation, but it was worth it! We spent time at the lake house in Cocolalla, Idaho. Then a few days in Kennewick, and ended our trip in Portland, Oregon. We did a lot of driving, but other than not sleeping much in the car, Avery did great.

We had fun boating and spending time with family at the lake house. Avery rode in the boat for the first time and went on the kayak with Grandma. The kids loved playing in the sand and in the water. Brayden even knee boarded for the first time. It was so nice being able to relax with family for a few days!

Avery started getting sick the day we drove from Cocolalla to Kennewick. We weren't the only ones with sickness, so we didn't get to do much with family those few days. We ended up finally taking Avery to the urgent care and figured out that she had Croup. Thankfully Lori had a nebulizer. So we got Avery medicine to help her breathing and a steroid to help her cough. After a few days of treatments Avery was doing much better and we were able to enjoy a weekend in Portland.

In Portland we ran in the Hero-Up race. Mitch did the half marathon and I did the 5K. Grandpa was really great and pushed Avery in the stroller for us. We had so much fun running and seeing so much family and supporting the cause. There were some awesome costumes too! The rest of the weekend we spent time as a family. On Sunday Jayce was blessed. We were happy we were able to meet the cute little guy!
