We had a wonderful 4th of July filled with festivities!
Tuesday night, we joined our friends on University Avenue for a party.
It literally was a party, our friends were camping out for a prime spot for the parade.
And the rest of the road on both sides was covered with more crazy people camping out.
The people next to us had a full size rectangle trampoline they were flipping around on all night.
We didn't stay there the night, and it's a good thing because our friends, the Herman's and the Sanford's, didn't sleep a wink!
The next morning Mitch staked out a spot by the Marriott Center to watch fireworks for everyone, and then we headed to the parade.
The parade was fun, but really long, and they didn't throw candy (apparently it was too dangerous).
There were a lot of ... interesting floats, and balloons, I'll let you see for yourself.
Then we took a dip in the pool to cool off before heading to the Freedom Festival!
We had fun walking around the festival looking at all of the vendors.
We even got some free Dryer's ice cream!
We took some time in the afternoon to take a nap.
Then headed to watch fireworks!
The fireworks from the stadium were awesome once they finally started!
We clearly had a great holiday and we were so happy to take a full day off.
Mitch was really able to enjoy the day because he took his second test on Tuesday the 3rd.
We are patiently waiting to hear what the results are!
