Life in Virginia

With the weather turning nice (or uncomfortably hot and humid if you ask me) we've had a chance to do a variety of activities between the time we've spent working in our yard. We were asked to mow the lawn regularly. But with so many plants around the house we've done a lot of weed pulling just trying to make it look more presentable. We have had so many beautiful flowers in the past month!

One Saturday we drove to the National Cathedral. They were having a flower market that was open to the public. We were expecting more flowers to be there, but it was more like a street fair with a lot of different vendors. We enjoyed the atmosphere and a pretty good lunch. I even convinced Mitch to get us a funnel cake! Yum!
The Saturday before Memorial Day we went to King's Dominion with the Evan's and Frost's! We had so much fun! The weather was beautiful and the roller coasters were great!
For Memorial Day we had Audrey and Jon and a friend of theirs over for a BBQ. We got to meet their new puppy. I have to admit, she's pretty cute!

On June 1st Mitch was in heaven (almost). The US Men's Soccer team and Germany's national team played in DC today (Sunday). So we were both very disappointed that we couldn't attend. But Mitch found out that they were having open practices on Saturday so we decided we couldn't miss that. It was really fun to watch both teams play some!
Other than work, that's what we've been up to lately!
