September 25th Avery turned 10 months old!!
Avery is such a smart and energetic baby! She is still learning to eat finger foods. She also just started attempting to stand without holding onto anything. But she's only done that twice.
Avery is usually very loud and talkative. Unless we are in an unfamiliar place like a store or at someone's house. Then she becomes very quiet and takes her time getting comfortable. The only public place she is really comfortable is church. She has absolutely no problem letting everyone know she is there!
The other night Mitch put Avery to bed while I went to Scouts. Like she often does these days, she escaped mid-changing with only a diaper on! She quickly crawled out of her bedroom, into the living room, and between the chair and couch. Like it was her safe hiding place! We've decided it's her new favorite spot. She loves to crawl through small spaces.
Avery still puts EVERYTHING in her mouth. I often have to find new and random things for her to play with while I cook dinner with her at my feet. One night I gave her one of her bowls and spoon. She loved it! But when I was done and picked her up, the spoon was gone. And it's still missing. I have looked everywhere for it and cannot find it anywhere!
She loves to play with all of her books! Her favorite activity is to simply take all of her books out of the basket. I have to sit close and make sure she doesn't chew on all of them. She just loves to stand at her basket, although sometimes she needs both hands. She problem solves by simply resting her belly on her basket! No need to learn to stand up when you have a big belly to rest against everything!
She has the biggest, cheesiest smile!! She gets so excited and just can't contain herself! We love it! Who wouldn't love to kiss those sweet cheeks?!?
