Mitch and I have been really busy since we both started working at the end of August. I have to be at school by 7:15, so that means I take Mitch to the metro at 7. Then he doesn't get home until 7 or so. It's a really long day for him, mostly because he goes in early and then it takes a long time for him to get home.
We have found some time on the weekends to enjoy the area though. We don't have many pictures because we hesitate to take our camera into the city sometimes, it depends on what we're doing. One weekend we spent time at the Smithsonian and other museums at the National Mall. Of course, we didn't see everything, but we'll get around to it.
On Mitch's first day of work a group was going to the National's game in Deloitte's box and we were invited! It was fun to enjoy the food and watch the game. I guess I don't mind baseball games if we get to be in Deloitte's box! Also, what a way to end your first day of work!
On another weekend Mitch surprised me with a date to watch the BYU Women's volleyball team play! They were playing in a tournament at George Washington University. Mitch was excited because he told me to wear a BYU shirt and I still never figured out what we were doing! It was fun to see them play, especially since they are doing so well this year!
We've also done yard work, helped with a ward service project, and started teaching primary. Our new life here in Virginia is moving right along, sometimes I feel like I'm trying to catch up.
