Move to Tustin

While Mitch was commuting from Santee, we frantically looked for a place to live in Orange County. We did not want him to commute for very long. I looked online and did a ton of research whenever I could. Mitch stopped and looked at places after work or even during work. After seeing a number of places, we thought we had a good option but it turned out the place was already taken. Then they came back and said they had a friend posting a new rental in Tustin. We hadn't really looked at Tustin because we thought it was too far away from church. But Mitch checked it out and loved it! I trusted his judgement and we signed a new contract and I hadn't even seen the place in person!
We quickly packed up our apartment in Santee. Thankfully, a lot of things were still packed from our previous move. And we packed the truck on May 11th. Mitch and Jared drove up to Tustin and unloaded everything. Then Mitch drove back and we stayed one more night to finish up last minute cleaning and to go to church on Mother's Day so that Avery could sing with the primary. With the craziness of that day I forgot to leave out our church shoes. But thankfully I remembered while Mitch was still with everything. He set them out .... and then forgot them! So Mitch went to church in tennis shoes and I went to four different shoe stores the night before to find some cheap shoes I could wear to church. Happy Mother's day to me! On Sunday we went to church, came back and packed all of our last minute things into the cars, and finished our cleaning. We each drove a car and even though we were packed full, the kids did great. Other than Eli waking up, filling his diaper, and then falling back asleep. So Avery and I had to suffer for the next hour! It felt really good to be officially out of our Santee apartment, and especially good to see our new place in Tustin! Mitch did a great job finding us a place to live!
