We started the day at church in a six story building. It was beautiful on the outside and the gym was on the top floor!
After church the Belnap's took us to central park for a picnic. It was great! And then ... we got caught in a thunderstorm and downpour! Probably the worst place we could be in NYC to get caught in the rain! Our camera got soaked in the backpack so the rest of the day and the next day pictures were taken on the phone. (Don't worry, our camera works now.) After the storm we went to see the temple! Then we headed to the 9/11 memorial. It's difficult to describe the feelings we had at the memorial, seeing all the names. But it was a beautiful and reverent activity for Sunday.
